Hi folks, also curious if this project has been resumed on the Fiio end for the M11Pro? and if you will also be supporting 8x unfold in the UAPP app through Tidal as well?

Hi, we are working on it since Dec 2019, and it planed to be achieved by the end of this month, but due to the Virus, our enginer can't come to work until the end of last month, so this plan has been postponed.

Currently we have implemented system-wide MQA when you use digital output (Spdif / USB Audio), and we will continue to work to achieve it as soon as possible.

Can you please specify if you will be allowing 8x MQA unfold in the UAPP app as well?

Or allow Tidal login through Fiio app? (#featurerequest )

Update note:
1.Added support for screen rotation (can be set in the pull-down menu or in Settings -> General. The screen will rotate upside down when this option is enabled);
2.Added global MAQ support (now the player supports 8x MQA unfolding even when playing MAQ tracks in third-party apps. However it not include Tidal, Tidal will update a version to adapt our product later);
3.Added a new function of hiding the un-scanned or empty folders in Folder view menu (can be set in FiiO Music -> Settings -> Scan for music. When enabled, only the titles of the scanned tracks will be displayed in Folder view menu);
4.Added album art display in Folder view menu;
5.Added quick-charge indication with a motion effect
6.Added 'File size limit for album art' function (can be set in FiiO Music -> Settings. And after selecting a limit, the album art image whose file size exceeds this limit will not be displayed);
7.Added volume and battery display in USB DAC and Bluetooth receive mode;
8.Fixed the issue where the Google account data could not be backuped.
9.Miscellaneous improvements on performances.

After upgrading my Fiiio M11Pro to the 0604 beta I have lost the green dot / blue dot marks when playing Tidal  in the USB Audio Player Pro (latest version with added support for the FiiOM11(PRO)/M15 MQA decoder/renderer). Only the MQA logo is shown in the play menu.

Dropped an email to Fiio's support team, I'll keep you posted.

Got a pertinent answer to that from UAPP, earlier today:

Dear Fiio team

I am unable to install your latest 0604 beta firmware on my M11. I am getting the error message 'Signature verification failed'.

I have re-downloaded the firmware file again to ensure that there was no error in downloading – however still the same message. I have also tried 3 different MicroSD cards – but also with the same result.

I have also sent an email to support@fiio.com regarding this problem on 18 June - however no response received so far.

Please advise

I had same problem. I downloaded firmware, MacOS automatically unzipped firmware to folder. I zipped again and moved to MicroSD card. After reboot I saw the error message "Signature verification failed". I downloaded firmware as is again from another browser and moved to MicroSD card. In this case upgrade was without any problem. I think that problem is different checksum of firmware file.
Could you change download method. For example try to use "wget" in terminal.

I previously downloaded the file twice with Chrome and now tried again with Edge. That did the trick and the update was successful

In case you are using MacOS and ZIP archive was automatically unzipped you may find original zip file in the Trash. So you may just put it back from the trash whatever you want.

Hi,
With the new software update, the M11 /11 pro can unfold tidal MQA 8x. If I use M11 as source to external USB DAC (capable to 192 khz /32 bit), will it still unfold 8x or 2x is limit for USB Audio?

First of all Fiio is still unable to unfold MQA via Tidal app. Wa are waiting for the new Tial app version with FiiO MQA unfold support but as a temporary alternative you may unfold Tidal stream via UAPP. As for the second question. Unfold will be supported only via internal App and not via USB.
